There was a single gas station in cities across San Benito County selling premium gas at the lowest price of $5.12 per gallon in the week ending Feb. 10, according to GasBuddy.com.

The average cost of premium gas in cities within San Benito County was $5.21 per gallon.

Of the five gas stations in cities within San Benito County, two offer premium gas.

The average price of premium gas in California was $4.85, compared to $4.77 the week before.

Experts predict gasoline prices could drop below $3 this year before rebounding closer to $4 by year’s end. GasBuddy forecasted a national average of $3.38 per gallon, down from $3.51. An outlook published in late 2023 suggests that gas rates will continue to fall in 2024.
